Redford Township, MI — 2026 — Western Golf & Country Club proudly celebrates its 100th Anniversary, marking a century of golf excellence, cherished traditions, and deep community roots in Southeast Michigan.
Founded in 1926, Western Golf & Country Club, the Club of Good Fellowship, has stood the test of time as a premier private member-owned club, known for its classic course design by the esteemed Donald Ross, welcoming membership, and commitment to preserving the traditions of the game while embracing thoughtful evolution. Over the past century, generations of members have gathered at Western to compete, celebrate milestones, and build lifelong connections both on and off the course.
“As we celebrate 100 years, we honor the vision of our founders, the dedication of our members, and the countless memories made here,” said Tod Truxell, Centennial Committee Chairman. “This centennial year is not only about looking back—it’s about celebrating the vibrant future of Western Golf & Country Club.”
