There are approximately 120 high school level Agriculture Food & Natural Resources/ FFA Programs in Michigan with over 5,000 students age 14-18
They are taught with a 3 component system (Classroom - FFA - SAE) FFA is also known as Future Farmers of America.
Supervised Agriculture Experiences (SAE) allow youth to apply knowledge and skills through experiential service and work-based learning opportunities.
Though each school program is unique, many will have students looking to have a mechanical or a turf grass management SAE Program. Some even have mechanical small engine training/auto mech in their school or have been trained on zero turns, walk behinds, utility tractors and hand held equipment.
