In March, I had the opportunity to attend the 2024 Chapter Leaders/Executive Symposium at GCSAA Headquarters in Lawrence, Kansas. Sixty board members and GCSAA chapter executives from around the country spent a day and a half covering topics ranging from the state of the industry to what we can do to improve our chapters for our members.
Several GCSAA employees provided updates on the industry, and from what they shared, I know we are heading in the right direction. We are making great strides in our relationships with industry partners, and our voice is being heard. It was reassuring to know that the employees at GCSAA are working hard every day to advocate for the improvement of our profession.
While many of us are occupied with our daily tasks at work, our national chapter is diligently working to advance our profession. There are 82 employees who work daily to handle tasks that help our profession move forward, tasks that we would never have the time to do. They advocate for the products we use and provide us with the support we need when questions arise.
We heard stories in the industry where, without people advocating for us, we would not be where we are today. If you ever have the opportunity to attend an educational session at GCSAA, I guarantee you will walk away with a greater appreciation for what is being done at headquarters to help move us forward.
